Where Culture, Craft & Connection Meet

Hi,I’m Fern—traveler turned curator, and the creative behind Rattatat. My years in the airline industry gave me rare access to the world’s cultures, textures, and traditions. When the pandemic grounded everything, I found a new way to keep exploring: by building a digital home for the woven wonders of the world.

Rattatat began as a passion project rooted in connection, sustainability, and storytelling. Today, it’s a curated space where natural fibre artistry meets global discovery.

“In a way, it’s like travelling from home.” — Fern

Rattatat is no longer about importing goods—it’s about sharing stories. From rattan loungers in Vietnam to sisal baskets in Kenya, every piece featured here is a translation of time, tradition, and artistry. We spotlight:

  • Natural fibre products from around the world

  • The makers and techniques behind them

  • Visual storytelling through photography and blog features

  • Sustainable materials and ethical craft practices

Artisans all over the world are translating their time and traditional knowledge into a piece of art that can withstand generations or use”

Rattatat is powered by a diverse team of creatives from around the world. From manufacturers in Vietnam to our web developer in Ukraine, writer in Malaysia, and illustrator in Austria—we are united by a love for craft and culture.

There’s something beautiful about a team with different backgrounds, upbringings, and talents coming together to support the same cause.
